Any one out there ever switched their vehicle over from a column shifter to a center console shift (both for an automatic transmission)? Can it be done with a certain amount of ease? I have a '74 280c with column shift, I have a complete parts car ('72) with the center console shift which I like much better. Is this just a matter of changing out the linkage, and plugging in all the necessary parts that would be different? Or is something major required.
