Naked pictures of a (722.112 valve) body

G'day Folks,

I'm about to send this old valve body of mine off to someone in need of it and I thought it was worthwhile checking it out for the chap and taking a few pictures of it.

722.1 valve body information is slightly hard to come by with an English language format so I'm going to have a go at naming parts and showing the order of assembly. Apparently it available in WIS, where chapter 27 translated to English, but you have to pay for that.

This information kind of goes hand in hand with information I've put up before about 722.1 transmissions =>

722.118 Automatic transmission rebuild (Monster DIY)

But as that's only fitted to diesel non turbo OM617s it doesn't have the scope valve body wise that this thread might.

I hope this information helps

Ask questions if you must - but remember I'm just some bloke who likes to pull stuff to pieces and take (dirty) pictures of the insides! I'm also someone with a copy of the German FSM (that has chapter 27 on the CD) which helps me put it all back together again...

Part number for this valve body is 116 270 25 07 - I know this goes in a 722.112 it might go in other transmissions - I'll see if I can find out which other ones (if it is indeed used in others)

You'll find that 10 bolts are the same length

And two are longer - these go in the holes of the rectangular cover / part with the flat head screw in it

This shows the future recipient of the valve body the muck that was within - not too bad considering it is about 35 years old.
