There are a lot of threads on this AC leak problem

MB used a foam tube with a wire spring wrapped inside it, and wrapped on the out side with a white plastic if I remember right.
They usually deteriorate and get mushy and leak after 15 - 20 yrs. mine did and I had water in the R/R pass foot well. carper soaked until I figured what was going on. ( pre MBShop Forum Days)

Remove the carpet on the Pass side so you can see under the A/C. You will see the mushie foam tube mess.

there are a lot of write up using the cut off top of a coke bottle and fitting it in there, with the threaded part in the hump.
I think it was JIMMYL that did it and had pictures.

I used a piece of hose, but expect to loose a pound of flesh in the process. not a lot of room.


here is a thread JimmyL did a few yrs back using the top of a Soda bottle.

I've sprung a leak, evaporator drain hose...

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
