I must say, that is the easier mod I have ever done with the best results!

So slowly I grabbed the wrenches and breaker bar and started unscrewing this odd thing....not knowing what might fly up and get lost to the sands of time...

Whats this...no flying parts? Must squirt oil three feet in the sky?

Nope no flying parts, no oil dripping...notta!

There are photos below...Its bad no ifs or ands about that...I think what happen is that oil, water, dirt etc gets sucked into this mysterious thing and eventually corrodes/rust as we see in photos that eventually the diaphragms won't contract any longer....its something that happens so slowly over time that it isn't noticed or its from sitting..

I noticed a whole hell of a gain in throttle and power! Starts are even better...

I then expected the cylinders to be flooded with fuel and tons of black smoke to roll out....well guess what nothing! Full flooring it front of the house nothing! Freeway drive nothing!

The car is even idling better now that the fuel isn't restricted by this odd device...

Its interesting to know that this controls the stop lever! I can just barely push down and the rough idle comes back..

I tossed this into the spare parts bucket and will more then likely dremel it open and place the hollowed out ADA back onto the car for looks and I don't want anything to catch on the rod...though I doubt that circlip will be flying off...

Not to fear if anyone would like to replace this for what ever reason....the part number is A0000702153...

If anyone has a NA 300D 240D 200D or type MW IP, I urge them to go out and remove this thing....go for a spin and see if you get the same results!

I know how to back off the throttle if I see a black cloud up going up a hill and I practice this on the euro with the type M pump but with out a turbo there is really no need for this odd device on the IP any more...

Now I got to go back to that darn climate control! I am determined to get this system working! I "had" a new servo n computer....now I have 3 servos, 4 amps and maddening urge to get the heater to turn off lol Had to come in as I was getting sick of being ate alive by ***** flies because the neighbors dogs turned the rear yard into a huge litter box....forget any outside activates...should have see the BBQ yesterday....like were in Ethiopia...
