This is for a 2008 ML350...I had an old garage door opener that worked with the mirror buttons. Just replaced the opener with a Liftmaster that has the latest homelink setup. I've searched this site and tried all the combinations of programming steps I can find, but nothing has worked.

-Press buttons 1&3 to clear existing programming...slow blinking yellow light changed to fast blink, as expected; worked.

-Press and release button 1, then press remote button; yellow light never changed; failed.

-Press and hold button 1 and remote button; yellow light never changed; failed

-Press door opener learn button, then press button 1 for 2 seconds for three cycles; yellow light never changed; failed.

Did I miss a step?
