Well I concede they all are the same. All the different part numbers supersede one another and are identical. It is odd that the part number for the slave is a 201 prefix for the 5 speed, but all the rest of the parts are identical to the 716.xx 4 speed. I really wonder why they decided to put a longer pushrod there. Im using it and it is a nice setup. The clutch grabs at a lower pedal position IIRC PN 201 290 0311.

http://www.findpart.org/part/bos-0986486503/ I just cross referenced the PN and it lists 1979-1985 300d as a recipient. Also many others dating back to early r107 cars.
