So yesterday I was mucking around with my signal lamps and noticed this fuel filter here.
I never thought about it much as it was there (and disconnected) when I got the car. Then I noticed something I hadn't noticed before. See that loose hose above the filter?
I figured I might have pulled it out from there. So I plugged it back into the hose. What is it for? It appears that the fuel filter side of it connects to the two silver canisters in the picture. What do those do?
As for the other hose, it goes all the way into the cabin.
