Vaseline is petroleum based, and can deteriorate some rubber seals. May or may not be flammable and conductive.
Dielectric is usually silicone based, and is formulated to be nonconductive and stay gooey at moderate temps.
Caliper^same as above, but higher heat range.
Silicone-^same as last two, varies by grade.
KY-water based, will wash off or dry out easily.
