Before you delve into R&R, "twirl" all the fuses. This is a yearly contact cleaning maintenance item not found in the manual
. If this doesn't fix it, check the fuses. Not a visual but an electrical check with an ohm meter. "they look OK" isn't good enough. This should get the electrical part working. The having to hold the lever part is going to involve R&R.
