I managed to rent a balljoint press from autozone and did the balls joints on 2 separate w123 cars. You may be able to do the same. All the machine shops I took the steering knuckle to didn't want to touch it. So I just did it myself. A bit of work but not impossible. By the second w123 it only took 4 hours to do both sides. Most of that time was breaking the balljoint connection loose with a piece of **** harbor freight balljoint separator that wanted to break.. Good luck!
