Sounds like you need to get the front weather stripping seated. If the sunroof isn't coming forward far enough- all your adjustment are way out. I would only mess with the roof adjusments, since that is what you had.

Most of the seal goes down into that little space. On mine, I used a hard plastic piece which glue-in windshield guys gave me. Ive done it a couple of times and each time- seems like it takes me a while to figure it out.
