Im not sure on the polish part, but I could see what you're saying. I paid $250 for the car so what would be $1200 if I sold it down the road for $3k? I sold one for $3300 with similar mileage.
BTW, I haven't paid more than $1000 for a w210 since I got into the om606 engines. except for the black 207k 99 I paid $3k for a couple years ago.
