W123 how do you lower the rear Trailing Arm so you can pull the Spring out

In a lot of threads it has been said that you don’t need a Spring Compress for the rear Spring on a W123 (and people say they have done that) to remove a rear spring.

Bunt on mine there is 2 projections/hooks that limit the downward travel of the Trailing arm. See attached pic.

It also looks as if the Parking Brake Cable could also limit the travel.
