I think I figured it out.

I was going to try to scour craigslist or look to see what models came with steel wheels and grab some from the local junkyard (alloy/ Aluminum wheels are $30 each). I think I'm going to try to find a few MB spare wheels in the junkyard as they are $13 each. That way I know they'll fit.

Did MB use a different lug size on later vehicles? Or should I be fine with w210/w201/202/203 spares?
