I have had good luck in getting a trophy shop to reproduce vin/data plates. There is a fellow that advertises in Hemmings Motors News that is able to stamp or emboss the letters and numbers. You need to provide proof of ownership of the vehicle. A trophy shop makes the plate to be embossed or stamped.
