It is the same body as the 2012-2015 ML series. They changed up the exterior bits and updated the stereo to the ‘iPad stuck to the dash’ style.

And replaced the OM642 V6 with the OM651 4 cylinder twin turbo.

Yes it still has all the pollution control stuff.

We have both a 2008 W164 and a 2014 W166 and the 166 is much improved from the 164 in build quality and fit and finish. The 163s (original ML from late 90s) are downright crude in comparison.

W166 has a W212 style interior.
W164 has a W211 style interior.
