Have you ever tried Vancouver Mercedes? I've talked to the guy in the parts department over the phone and he has always been very helpful. I kind of got the impression though that dealerships (here?) aren't really used to dealing with the older cars. When I was looking for a part for Mary (1973) he said, "Try this place, they carry a lot of obsolete parts."
Obsoleteness is in the eye of the beholder.
