617.912 Head Salvage

I’m a hound for research so I apologize for posting a thread where I know the information is out there but time is of the essence to salvage a head before the car is scrapped. The engine blew a head gasket when it overheated according to the owner. A coolant hose Ruptured and a 16 y/o was at the helm, nuff said. It’s a late model’83 engine # 12-086762 with the skinnny pencil plugs.
Did they modify the block, stroke, bore, piston, a as well as the head For the displacement increase? I.e. can I use it on an earlier 616 or do I need the block as well?
I know there’s a chance the head is warped but I’m gambling against that. I have all the head bolts, cam, and lifters out. Do I need to remove the hollow oilers as well?

I wanted the differential as well but I don’t know the ratio. I have a manual ‘78 with 300k, the donor 175k but it’s an automatic. Is it worth the effort?
