I guess I've taken enough of a break from the Monster, fixed the AC in my Brick, and changed oil on the fleet. Being bored, today I decided to try out the Bosch test set I got a couple weeks ago.

I printed out the testing procedures from the on-line MB Service Manual, grabbed the tester, and went outside and snuck up on the sleeping beast.

After unplugging the computer and hooking up the test set it took about 10 minutes to run all the tests. Everything passed fine except Voltage 1&2 tests (computer voltage supply) was at 10v and the low limit in the book specified 11v. Chart indicated that I should clean some connections and check main relay.

The tester does have some glitches I will need to look into, though. The meter needle "drags" unless unit is placed flat on it's back and one of the injector test pushbuttons seems to be inop. Other than that it seemed to work fine.

My list of "things to do" is now down to these items:

Drain tank (again) and pull and clean in-tank fuel strainer/screen.

Replace r/h tierod assy.

Sandblast and repaint rims.

Buy new tires.

Evacuate and recharge AC.

Wife needs to get motivated and redo the back seats.

I now have all lights working, wipers, horn, and other safety related items functioning so as soon as I win the lottery I'll be able to afford to put it on the road.

That's my update for now...
