Pictures are attached

1. Fan Clutch is a Sachs 'Horton' brand but appears to have been made in Nov 15th, 2003. It shows what appears to be corroded ' rebuild ' residue on the thermal plate. I was expecting a new one made in the past year or so.

2. Mercedes fan, initially I thought it was a cheap Chinese knockoff due to the white printed label from a company called Newparts not the company name I ordered from. After looking closer I found a Mercedes logo and part #. I'm still a little concerned it might be a mirror image copy of the Mercedes part.

I'm concerned because they sent a ' probably rebuilt ' fan unit that was made 18 years ago.

The link to the web page for the clutch is:

e Euro parts . com part 2100024032

https://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/169409/Engine-Cooling-Fan-Clutch-2100024032/

to me it should have been a new one since it wasn't mentioned to be rebuilt.

What are your thoughts?
The only good viscous fan clutch is a deleted viscous fan clutch.
