I was considering having a Focal subwoofer installed in my W140. Because the trunk is relatively soundproof, would a trunk mounted subwoofer be effective? What are the alternatives to a trunk mount? Would the vibration generated by the trunk mount tend to cause rattling?

Is there a good subwoofer that can be installed at the rear shelf or beneath the seat? How about the center armrest?
