I tend towards stock, unless the original color is really hideous. I personally prefer many of the non-metallic colors that Mercedes used to use. Other questions I would have about repainting a car today concerns certain paints being unavailible now due to EPA regulations and the frequent failure of clear-coating I've seen on factory finishes and heard about on repaint jobs.
