I get no loud "bang" when I press the button directing more heat downward. In fact no sound at all that I notice. I suspect maybe I should if it is normal...but cant say if mine is or yours is...normal that is.
Like I say the flow I get to the footwells is more of a gentle breeze rather than a "blowing" as from a fan.
