Like w126 and jhal said, it's not necessarily the vehicle. It could be that people who tend to buy Explorers are also morons when it comes to towing ... or more litigous. Probably a reflection of the fact that people who buy Explorers are yuppie-types with no motor skills. I'm with U-Haul on this.
