Having just drained and bled my system (non ABS) the only other thing I would add, is to check and add fluid maybe every third crack of the bleeder screw. The new fluid is almost invisible if the system was emptied, which made it difficult to tell what the level was. Found it much easier to keep the system full to the brim.
