I just checked it and it does have a cable, it seemed fine although barely any free play so I adjusted it to have a slight amount of play. Just test drove it and on first take off still no high gear, then actually let it accelerat to 65 mph and it got high, then kicked it down and held for a few seconds. Then stoped and took off again letting it shift with very smooth, light acceleration and it shifted fine right up into high, stopped again and it worked fine again. Makes me think something was stuck somewhere. Hopefully my trip home tonight will operate correctly also.
