Neither of these are "first" projects! Removing the "dash pad" involves effectively disassembly of the entire dashboard and its contents. Your replacement dash may cost over 2K (the PART is over 2K!!).

Most people buy a "Dash cap".

The convertible top is NOT easy. I spoke to the best shop in town and they told me that EVERY EMPLOYEE (already skilled in upolstery) screwed up their first top installation - that's why they order TWO ahead of time for a new guy!
