Forgive me if this has been discussed i could not find anything when i searched.

Is it possible to bypass all the automated crud that is broken, and install a switch to activate the compressor and then turn on the defroster fan?

I assume it would be, unless the defroster fan is not the same one used for the A/C.

I already have the heater system rigged up so the hot fluid is on a manually opperated valve.

It looks like the only thing stopping me from having cold air is the automatic stuff ( and charging the A/C).

Any suggestions about what i would need to do.
