ACC bypass

Hey Will,
Attached is a drawing, {from a simpleton, mind you}, of the AC circuit on my '80 300TD. It is important to have a 30 amp fuse, and I was advised to use a 'maxi' fuse setup, which I did.
It appears that on my car there is also a valve that will shutoff the water to the heater core, but it looks like the knob for changing valve position is broken off. It is also right above the oil filter, which made changing the filter exrtremely difficult. I have quite some time before I have to start worrying about heat, though. What part of country are you in?
