I have been after the 190D for 7and a half years. The PO gave me my first diesel (1981 VW Rabbit, purchased new by them) seven years ago. I saw the 190D in the carport and jokingly said to them that I would own it next. They didn't give it to me but close. I had the privilege to be the PO pastor (my first church) and they have always wanted to bless the ministry. I know that God will bless them.

The '82 Sd was sitting on the back row of a car lot in Taylors, SC. I just happened across it. I told my wife upon seeing the car "if it runs and drives I'll give'm $500 for it. I really wanted it for parts. The salesman said he needed to get $500 out of it so I didn't negotiate. I gave him the money and drove it home (@60 miles one-way). I have been driving it for almost a week and it runs GREAT! No smoke, noises or rattles.

Fuzzball, don't feel bad about the '84 for $3200. I paid $3200 for my '85 SD with 149,000 miles only to find out that there was some significant rust. Too late now!
