Not sure where your pain is but I had a soreness that was preventing me from using my right arm develop a few years ago. Turned out to be the little knob on the outermost part of my elbow was apparently growing some extra calcium or something and irritating the tendons and muscle tissue that is attached or stretched over it. The solutions I was offered, in order of the doctor's preferences were to rub it regularly and stop using it for strenuous events, but keep moving it through its full range of motion, take Cortizone shots, operate and scrape the offending growth off. I went for the first one and the problem went away in a week or so. I still get a twinge now and then, and go back to the rubbing. The process is not really gentle as you are supposed to be mechanically smoothing the new growth off. I also used Advil at the doctor's recommendation to reduce the inflamation for the first few days. Makes the rubbing a little less painful. Hope this helps, Jim
