that is correct

When i turn the nylon part in a clockwise direction the tranny shifts but it shifts at really high rpms (around 5000 rpm).

As I turn it in the counterclockwise direction, the car will shift at lower rpms but the only way to get it to shift is to press the accelerator down and take the rpms to 4000-4500 and then release my foot from the gas pedal and then it will shift.

When i disconnect it completely the car shifts without me having to lay off the accelerator, and the shifts occur at around 3000 rpm
