The added mileage is nice.... but the avoidance of a burnt valve is a very important consideration in going to the trouble of adjusting the valves at something close to the recommended interval.......
And if one finds that your clearances don't " hold" well.. the FSM suggests new cap and locking nut on your valves... they take a lot of punishment...and the threads can get pounded....
