Hi! Unfortunately yes. The price we pay for an S320L could easily get someone an S500L or even an S600 in the States, or anywhere else in the world. Every foreign car imported into the country faces a 200% or more import duty of the car's cost price. And that doesn't include road tax,and ENGINE tax.

P/s Wanna know how much an S55AMG costs here? I was quoted a whopping USD$473,760 excluding road tax. The older generation C200 (locally assembled in Malaysia) costs USD$62,642 and it doesn't even come with elec. seats (it's not even an option). And a W220 S280 with Keyless-Go costs USD$183,714.
