Question Bent valve: How to check for it?

Recently, the timing chain jumped 3 teeth on my M130.92 (6 cyl.) engine.

I put in a new timing chain today, and the engine turns freely with a socket on the crank. #1 TDC matches the camshaft mark. All valve springs are compressing as normal.

Seems that I should do a compression check for each cylinder next. Of course, that means using the starter.

Is there any other method to check for a bent valve that I should do first?
