Only thing I could suggest is check it over real good for rust. Convertibles are structured very differently than sedans. Many convertibles have been caught in rain showers with top down and soaked everything leaving lots of moisture under the carpets. Look closely at the floor pans. Pull the carpet up to look if you suspect rust.
