Hey, I got H&R springs on my W124 too. I didn't use bilstein but Koni (sports)yellow for adjustability.
Yeah, I think the H&R springs are a bit too low for street use without a front kit.

You seem to have excellent knowledge regarding W124 suspension turning. I have some suspension question and I hope really you could help me.

Do you think is possible to use a thicker spring pad at the front to raise the car a little bit ?
Do you know the OEM spring pad size ?

In your opinion, which sway bar is better for a 93 300E ?
The little thicker Eibach or the OEM Sportline ?

What sizes are your tires ? I use 17" 215/45
How you set your alignment config ?

***** The Bilstein Sport dampers combined with the H&R springs in the front ride like a BMW M3******

Forgive my ignorance , what do you meant by "ride" ? Does it handles like a M3 or the ride quality ( comfort ) is like the M3 ?
E 36 or E 26 ??

For the sway bars, try contact Randy in http://www.epsparts.com
They sell bars for Mercedes, they might be able to help.

Thank you very much for your time. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Pete regards
