This is as good a time to delurk as any, I suppose...been reading this forum for weeks, and it's amazing how much info I can find here.

I have the same problem with my '81 300D, and I assume that when I get around to investigating the window seal problem, I'll find some variation on pwogaman's rust issue--until then, I choose to live in denial (and leave the car in the garage on rainy days).

For those who have removed the trunk lining, how do you do it without breaking the clips that hold the plastic in place? I can tell that I need to clear those drains, but I haven't been willing to just rip out the liners.
