WVO Build list!!

I am planning on building a Waste veggie kit for my 1984 300sd!

I am looking for high quality parts and materials for building the kit.

Anyone out there have a complete build list made yet? Or Schematics?

Thanks much!!

TOny

Ok, I'll bite.

The only way you're going to get that type of info is if you buy a kit... I recommend Frybrid.

Otherwise, do a search. Read for the next few months, and be prepared to have a two week long install that will not be nearly as cheap as you think it will (in comparison to a kit).

E-bay E-bay

Hi, I'm in the process of converting my '83 300D to wvo. I have done about 3 months research , looking at all the kits. I have taken all the best ideas from all the kit companies and have bought all parts on E-bay. The tank,23 gal. all aluminum 24x15x16 $86, heater hose, 3/8 alum fuel line (20ft) $35 various brass fittings and hose barbs $38 facet aux fuel pump $33, 22 plate heat exchanger $86, fleetguard heated fuel filter $149 , intank coil heat exchanger $15, 2- 3 way valves (manual switching) $19, injection line heating kit $40 (all pricing includes shipping ) total $501 . Cheapest kit on the market $895, most expensive kit $1800 (Ellsbett kit $3500 1 tank kit) Search the forums for diagrams (greasecar, frybrid , Plant Drive, Veg Oil conversions , Veg Power ) there is a wealth of info on the internet , put in your time to do the research and learn about the different components, you'll find out the differences which will be of max benefit. Stay away from steel tanks , the heat and the wvo create a reaction that causes polymerization (chemical reaction build up in the tank that will clog filters) I live in western New York, so creating enough heat is my primary goal. The conversion should be finished by mid may ,so I'll post pics

I wonder how much, and how long it would be; To have HVAC and automotive school install a grease kit?
