They already do, you just have to look for it.

Not a chance until China and India stop using oil. Remember, you are not the only buyer in town. If you stop buying today, China and India will gladly buy what you won't thus keeping the prices up

:confused: Really, off road non taxed gasoline, please tell us even one place to get some, I've never heard of it and google did'nt seem to know either.

Ask the station manager if they have an off road gas card. Or, if you keep all your receipts, you can take it off your taxes at the end of the year. Call your state's dept of revenue and they will get you the forms.

At my summer job at the marina, many people who have larger boats who pump many hundreds of dollars worth of gas at a time ask for a receipt showing gallonage. If they didn't ask, I usually asked them if they wanted one if it was a large amount of money. We didn't have diesel as we only had storage for boats up to 17', but the marina next to us that housed large boats had red diesel. Years ago we used to have 50:1 pre-mix gasoline for the small 2-stroke boat motors. It got too expensive and a lot of people were switching their small 2-stroke kickers out for 4-strokes, and the larger 2-stroke motors went to oil injection.

Well, I've read all 17 pages of posts. It seems like the majority of it is arguing over what is legal or not. That's not so interesting.

I believe it would be far more interesting in arguing what is right or not.

Examples of what used to be illegal, but probably not right:

Allowing women to vote.
Allowing blacks to vote.
Counting a black as a whole person.
Sodomy (still illegal I think).

My point being, to hell with what is legal or not. Worry about what is right. Because remember, it used to be legal to own a slave here.

It does not matter what you think should be legal or right. If its illegal, its illegal. If you think it should be legalized, then work to get the laws changed!

Lance, give up man. Just give up. Your making yourself a pariah amongst probably half of your fellow diesel discussioners, your not getting anywhere, and even if you did, it wouldnt mean anything in real life. You cant win, they always will becuase theres only one of you. I know your against it becuase you hate to see these cars get hacked up and turned into crap but just be thankful that you have one or two that arent, and their yours. Thats what ive come to, I dont even care anymore. Who cares if they destroy them all with their veggie oil, I still have my 617's. Eventualy the survival rate for any mercedes is zero, so who really cares.
