Biodiesel vs. Waste Veg. Oil

I have been reading and reading about both options and have thought that the biodiesel route would be preferable with my 98 300D.

The cost of chemicals, methanol and lye, in my area will drive the cost of producing biodiesel to about $1.50/gal.

If I were to use WVO blended with diesel at 4:1 (80:20 WVO:diesel) my cost would net $0.84/gal (1 gal of diesel@ $4.20 becomes 5 gal of blended).

Assuming that my source of oil is dry and filtered appropriately what drawbacks would using the blend create in place of using pure B100?

I am in Florida, so the chances of very cold weather are slight.
