Clogged filter? Does it stumble under a heavy load? Like going uphill?

I didn't think it was a clogged filter because I figured that'd be consistent power loss. I was carrying a lot, I had a full trunk and a full tank of diesel with three additional people in the car. It did stumble uphill, but I couldn't say it stumbled everytime nor could I say it only stumbled on hills. It was working fine most of the time, maybe 95% of the time. It felt like I was hitting air, although I have never experienced driving with a clogged filter.

A clogged filter (for me anyway) starts making the engine stumble when loaded...mostly going uphill. And its noticable and repeatable. And after changing the filter, there's a huge difference.
If you're stumbling at odd times, it would more likely be air entering the system, but you'd think that too would happen when more heavily loaded.

Get a new filter to rule that out. Also you might want to make sure your getting proper ventilation into the tank. The vent holes could get gummed up easily because it is cold outside now. This would make it harder for the lift pump to suck the fuel through the lines.

Where are the vent holes?

I found that if I run over 70% wvo I always had filter problems.Besides it makes fueling faster to blend 30% diesel.

Vent hole should be on top of your greasecar tank somewhere, might have a hose connected to it that leads under the car somewhere.
I run my two-tank frybrid system for hundreds of miles at a time (on straight VO) in the winter and have no filter problems. If the oil is heated adequately, it'll flow fine.

Greasecar usually has them on the filler cap. When you open the cap up do you feel vacuum/air rushing in?

I could be clogged. Try not clamping the cap down so air can get in there (but turn handle so the cap doesn't fly off) and test it from there. If it gets better then you can improve the situation by changing out the main filter, and/or boil the cap in hot water to clean it out, or just keep driving it around with it unclamped.
