Disassembly of floor pans

Hello everybody, this is actually my first post, I have 4 mercedes diesels, 3 of which are w123
I am currently in the process of replacing floor pans in my 1982 anthracite grey wagon, I'm in the disassembly phase and for whatever reason I'm stumped, I'm not sure how to take out the "upper pan" out on the front of my floor, it is thick and dosent appear to be steel, any pics and advice is appreciated, you can see the peice where your feet would be in the driver seat
