stripped paint from car wash brushes... any cure?
Just picked up a car where it is apparent that too many trips through the free car wash just peeled the paint from the hood and some of the top. It is not worn down to the metal, but the primer is starting to show through. The rest of the car looks great.
The cheapest way to deal with this that I know of is to just find a hood the same color in a junkyard and replace the whole thing. But the top will still need some attention. Is there any way to deal with this besides a slight repaint? The only place it looks bad is the hood and the top. |

Just reshoot hood and roof and color blend into fenders. There isnt a cure.

I was somewhat afraid that that would be the only answer.
I guess I will make the rounds of body shops and see what they can do. Otherwise I will just search for a hood as the roof appears that it can be polished out. |

If the clear coat is gone there is no hope. Once clear coat fails there is nothing you can do.

Thanks for the info. The news is bad on this, but these are facts I needed and this information will save me time and money in the long run.
Once again.. Thanks! |
