A happy I found no (well hardly any) rust on my W123 thread!
I've been putting this job off for almost 6 months now - mainly using a rough winter as the excuse.
But today it was sunny so I started my investigation into the condition of the vent ducts and drains that sit between the front windscreen / windshield and the engine bay. I knew that that area would be a bit dirty and probably clogged up with bits that have fallen from trees - but I was also expecting some rust as the car has been suffering from a leaking windscreen rubber. But wow - gosh - oh golly - I found a few trace hints of rust but most of it is in almost perfect condition! ![]() ![]() ![]() And a shot inside looking along the gutter ![]() And the corner of the structure under the windscreen that I thought would be really messed up - but it isn't:-
