Touch up paint options?

I've got a couple of surface rust spots I want to take care of in the coming weeks and I wanted opinions on possible rattle can options. Specifically, who makes the best match for astral silver. The spots are small-ish, so I have also considered using my hobby airbrush and touch up paint (this worked very well on an old Honda of mine).

Any suggestions?

The airbrush is a good idea if you have nothing else - but only on small areas.

Some paints need a clear varnish over the top as well - but the dealer can tell you if that is necessary I guess.

How well does this work on paint chips and other small areas of that sort? Do you just apply it with something like a spotting brush?

try a toothpick if the area is very small. I have had success with that.

The airbrush will be better in most cases.

Now on those bottles of touchup, they will match ok, but if you are looking for a good match, you haver to spray the area and blend it in, using professional refinish.

Definitely get the clear. It will match better and probably last longer than without.

Make sure you sand off the rust.

Anyone have any luck with ColorRite (available on Amazon)? I have some non-matching hub caps that I want to spray in my dark tobacco brown (423) color using their spray product. Any experience with it? ColorRite Mercedes-Benz All Automotive Touch-up Paint : Amazon.com : Automotive
