I need some SUPPORT as in support group. I startin to feel a little wierd about being the only one on the road with a twenty year old diesel "biplane" whil everyone else drives $25000 brand new cars....
Ii have a nice 240D with the usual collection of odd stuff it takes time to fix, like right now the vacuum locks need work and a swiming pool in the back passenger side every time it rains.
I just put a real nice engine in it, i figure I would use it a year or for a commuter car, but the engine replacement went so well, now I am getting ambitious.
I am thinking of fully restoring it, like my 300D, which doesnt miss one bit of trim or function.
However I have rust underneath the rear quarter panels/rear wheel weels that would take some money to repair. Thats the only thing keeping this car from going a Longgggg way...
Well the car is almost 20 years old....is it worth it? I need some SUPPORT as in support group.
