Using CD changer input as aux input in 140
Is it possible to use the CD changer inputs as auxiliary inputs in a Becker 1492? I have a CD changer in place and I don't mind leaving it in place. I'd like to subvert the input wires to feed the stereo from a portable music player rather than the output of the CD changer. Is this possible?

Sixto-
Looked into this about a year ago...here's the bottom line. The radio/changer uses a specific protocol to exchange information which means the inputs you want to use aren't active unless the changer is running. You can let the changer run and use the inputs for another source, but each time the changer changes discs, you'll have a few seconds of dead time while the changer quiets the amp. If you can live with your changer running whenever you use the newly tapped AUX inputs, it will work. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks, Ken. Makes perfect sense. Where can I find a wiring diagram or pin-out listing?

Sixto,
Sorry so long to get back to you... I know I had this info, but can't find it now... maybe someone here has it... or you can find on the web. The Alpine changer uses the "M-protocol" to communicate with the radio.
