I just got a 1993 400e and the speakers in there now sound like absolute crap. I know there are six total, but I am unsure of which are what. I already have a two channel amp and 2 subwoofers that I wanted to hook up, but everything in there is still stock. My question is this, what speakers would be recommended to replace all of the old ones? and, is it possible to hook up the amp and subs to the stock head unit? Please give advice on recomended speakers and possible scenarios to hook up my subs. I am totally clueless when it comes to car audio, and even more clueless on Mercedes (except that they're good cars), any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ooh, you've got one of those years with the two-piece radio. ('91-'93) You can't just add amps & subs to the head unit. There's a pretty good description of your system at www.perfectmarketaudio.com/be1432

I recommend Infinity speakers!

Pioneer are well priced, but do not perform like they should, unless you get their Elite line of speakers...
