CD Changer - Random Play Memory - Help !!!!
I have a 1982 280ce with original Becker player and an after market CD changer in the trunk.
The CD changer is wired into the back of the original unit [ previous owner] The problem I'm having is ....when I select random play and then turn off ignition after listening to a few songs, then turn ignition back on....the unit starts playing from the first song I listened to ...every time...rather than continuing on from where I left off. Is this normal for a changer ?.....Or has previous owner wired it up wrong?....and if so ...How can I fix this annoying habit ? |

Depending on what kind of changer it is there is a possibility that the changer is not wired correctly. The changer needs a constant voltage (usually yellow wire) so it has a memory. Check the yellow wire to make sure it is powered when car is off...
